About Me

I’m a software project manager in the Boston area, who still has a passion for writing software.  As a manager, I strive to clarify uncertainty and help my team deliver products that make our customers successful.  On those occasions, when I do fire up my IDE, I write applications built around the Microsoft .Net stack

I was lucky enough to serve with some great people as a member of the Air National Guard in the
267th CBCS.  Even though I was only a weekend warrior, it forever changed my life.

Before professionally getting into the field of technology I dabbled in banking, accounting, and retail.

Because I never knew what I wanted to do when I grew up I have 3 degrees (AS, BS, and MS) and I’ve changed my major more times than you’d care to know.

About My Blog

This blog hopes to provide advice, education, and inspiration to developers, who now find themselves or are considering a role as a software project manager or technical lead.

I’ll also do my best to stem the management lobotomy, by providing posts on a variety of technical topics.  The hope is to keep you in the game in case you decide management path is not right for you.

My goal is to post one or two times a month.  I know that professional bloggers will tell me that’s not enough, but it’s not realistic for me to commit to anything more than that.
